Ought to, yarı-modal olan bir kalıptır. Genel olarak modal kurallarına uyar, kendisinden sonra yalın halde fiil alır fakat olumsuz olurken veya soru olurken biraz farklı şekilde davranır. Modals’tan farklı olarak, sonrasında bir “to” bulunur.

B1 Ought To Be + Ving
Should ile oldukça benzer olarak “ought to”, sonrasında “be + Ving” alarak, konuşma sırasında yapılıyor olması gereken şeyleri söylerken de kullanılır.
